The power of Joining to uncover how the ego relishes the experience of Death.

T
his YouTube session is a review of the addiction of the ego to death experience. It is also to discover by direct experience how miracles (a change in perception that death has value) are the means to release the desire for death experience from the subconscious mind.
This is releasing the death wish. The death wish is self delusion that arises out of deeply hidden beliefs buried in the subconscious mind that the experience of death has value. In order to transcend the ego it is essential to admit that the experience of death is a chosen experience. (The Session is in English and Spanish).
Three movies demonstrating the desire for the play of repeated death and “coming back to life”–Edge of Tomorrow, Groundhog Day, and Before I Fall are mentioned in the session. The message in these movies is that the only way to end the endless cycles of death is to accept Jesus’ curriculum of releasing the desire for death (forgiveness).
The ego mis-creates death and then “forgets” that it created death as experience!
The ego is the desired experience to create the experience of death and then deny that it created it! Thus the ego is a denial of the denial of inner Light. In other words the ego is a decision to deny Divinity and then hide from itself (deny) that it created death experience.
The ego pretends to be horrified by death,
yet if we look closely we can see it is relished experience.
yet if we look closely we can see it is relished experience.
On the surface the ego would speak as though it is horrified by death as though death is something to be avoided. Yet with deep looking with the One who Knows, Jesus, it can be seen that the experience of death is a “treasure” that the ego hides deep in the subconscious mind. This is the same as the Death Wish, the wish to experience death over and over in the mind to “kill the Light” from awareness. This is a choice to avoid admitting that death is impossible.
The ego is the addiction to death experience (ACIM)
Further, the ego will avoid anything that will reveal that death is unreal. All assignments by the Holy Spirit are to reveal the hidden beliefs that death has more value than the experience of God. This is the addiction to death, the deep relishing of the experience of death. This is not only relishing the experience of death of a body: it is relishing death to the awareness of inner Light.
As long as there is a belief that heaven can be found in hell (death), consciousness will avoid accepting a miracle. There is great power in looking directly with Jesus to uncover hidden desires in the subconscious mind around the Death Addiction.
Mighty companions share what Jesus tells them about their addiction to death (at the end of the session.)
At the end of the session mighty companions share what Jesus is telling them about their attraction to death and how the ego has turned death to seem like heaven:
The hidden belief that death is a way to find peace.
1. Mary shares, “Jesus says that I have the desire to show God I’ve got the power and control. Jesus is saying this is death and does not work.”
She believes death is a release from having to do something-a means to find rest (peace). This is the idea that rest comes “after” death. He also told her that this is the means the ego uses to keep the experience of feeling in control and out of control (simultaneously).
We hear yes to accepting a miracle for this desire.
Cay’s comment: Jesus reminds us that we’ll dabble in death by playing/running the same record over and over again until it is healed.
The desire for death as a “power card” that can be played at any time.
2. Tahina expresses her curiosity with this topic of looking at the desire for death. Jesus points to her desire to have a card in hand that she can play at any moment to stay in the game, meaning she can always choose to “play the death card”.She shares that she has a desire to die. “Death is a card I hold in my hand that I have the power to play at any time.”
This is the belief that death is a means to heaven (via hell) by “getting and holding on to” power.
3. Lina asks Jesus: What is death? Jesus tells her it is the desire to deny the Light within. She also asks if seeing this is enough and Jesus reminds that it is most helpful to look at each desire one by one to clear all of them.
In this we can see the power of being guided by Jesus so directly and specifically on every single desire for release to a miracle.
I don’t want to give this up, I am addicted to death.
4. Jesus shows Cathleen how she sees death as heaven. She says, “He is showing me a party, a reunion. And he gave me the word rest, as in “no more work.” He says the ego makes work and then if you die you don’t have to work anymore, the idea that peace comes after death. Cathleen admits, I don’t want to give this up, I am addicted to death.
Jesus shows us how we are addicted to relishing death experience!
Cay comments: This is a trick in the mind, a trick of the ego, that makes us believe that we can get to heaven through hell! Jesus says that fear is a cover-over to avoid seeing that death is not real. As long as there is a belief that heaven can be found in hell (death), consciousness will avoid accepting a miracle.
There is great power in looking directly with Jesus to uncover hidden desires in the subconscious mind around the Death Addiction. If we have a belief that death is freedom the experience will keep repeating and defenses to protect the death wish will come up. The ego will fight to keep this false concept of freedom in order to keep death in the mind.
The ego will fight to keep this false concept of freedom from death in order to keep death experience repeating in the mind.
He reminds us that miracles require conviction. The conviction that you are more than the idea you have about yourself. Not accepting the miracle is trying to keep the death concept alive.
To “wake up from the dream” you must see how you love/value the addiction and that deep down you believe the addiction works. There is some deeply hidden belief that there is value in keeping addiction. This is how the ego uses time – the “Las Vegas gamble” that it is going to work in the future. “I can keep the addiction and it is gonna work out in the end.”
We need Jesus to show us how it never works out in the end.
All the scenarios when we were pretending it was going to work out and it could never work out so we can finally admit it’s never going to work out.
Jesus reminds us, “Do not underestimate how much you like the power of death.” The ego thinks that giving up the idea of death is a sacrifice.
This must be seen directly so that there is no longer an investment in self delusion.
