Train your Dragon Trilogy- Movie Review! Wake up to Light!

Beloved Mighties,

I've long had a love for Toothless since the first How to Train Your Dragon movie came out in in 2010.  If you haven't seen it, Toothless is the dragon from How To Train Your Dragon and Hiccup his Viking partner are both powerful symbols of innocence, acceptance of Divinity, following the Light within, and joining in holy purpose. A friend gave me a little stuffed Toothless (pictured below) that I recently gave away on a prompt from the Holy Spirit to Joyce's daughter, Christina, who was on her way to live in Guadalajara, and Joyce shared that this was a holy inspired miracle as they had just watched the movie.  Joyce shared that she realized from watching the movie that even if Christina moves away, they are always together in the heart.

Throughout this movie series Hiccup quickly chooses to see Light over Darkness and thus love over fear, to the benefit of everyone.  Truth over denial of Divinity.  Sometimes it seems that we have to "go against" what everyone else is doing and believing in order to follow the Spirit, yet this is following the heart of Truth and denying that the Son of God can be harmed.

Train your Dragon Trilogy- Movie Review! Wake up to Light!God is completely on our side when we choose Love over fear, as Love is our Divine Nature. The only way to the recognition of Divinity is to step outside of our comfort zone, for the ego has made a comfort zone to block the recognition of Divinity. Hiccup continually steps outside of his comfort zone in the power of faith and trust that is far beyond this world.  All power is given to those who follow the Holy Spirit as Hiccup quickly discovers. Where he feared that he would be rejected for befriending a mortal enemy, it seemed to reflect out as being rejected at first, yet with perseverance to stay with what is true all the world follows and will also seem to choose love over fear.

Acceptance of Divinity and Infinite Love is for ourselves, and Toothless and Hiccup become mighty companions that inspire all to the recognition that things regarding fear and dragons (the Ego) may not be as it seems.  In the end, all of the Island of Berk is filled with inspiration and joining and Hiccup has stepped into holy purpose to serve the whole–extension of Love to all.

How to Train Your Dragon 2, 2014

The movie opens with Berk transformed with new mighty companions and many new joining opportunities.  While there is a new appreciation of Dragons, there are also games of competition being played in form.  Competition seems fun, yet this is a delay in the recognition of Divinity, as there is no one to play against. There is only One.  Hiccup is nowhere to be found, as he is in extension, exploring with his mighty companion, Toothless. Yet he is still uncertain of his role, the role he is to "take over" from his earthly father as Leader of Berk. Now 20 years old, he is being pressed by his father, Stoick the Vast, to succeed him as chieftain, although Hiccup feels unsure he is ready.  Is he up to the role and function in Berk?

In the Light there are no leaders and followers, as all is One. There are never questions about leadership, this is a disguise over the question of who our real Father is. This is a doubt about who we are.  And there seems to be a wound for having "lost" his mother when he was a baby.  Is this true?  The Holy Spirit will show us that our only role in this life is recognition of Divine Light and thus to cease to deny that we are already whole and complete. Again there seems to be an outer enemy to the Dragons and thus to Berk, yet the question is, is this true?  Is there an outer enemy?  Once again Hiccup stands in the Light with Toothless when Toothless seems to do (in the ways of the world) an unpardonable act.  Hiccup tells Toothless, "You didn't mean it, bud"  and "It's you and me together, as one."  He chooses to see innocence in his mighty companion. This is salvation.

How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World, 2019

One year after the events of the prior film, Hiccup, Toothless and their fellow dragon-riders have filled Berk to capacity.  Now the search is on for a Hidden World to protect the dragons.

Yet the search for a hidden world is the search for the world of true Life; the unending Life offered by the Light of Truth. We have hidden ourselves in a world of fear and and danger. We can not escape the world by moving to a different location, although the Spirit may suggest that we change a location to help us see what is true; we are beyond time, space and location.

There are many great joinings in this movie, which demonstrate the commitment Hiccup has to truth and serving the whole. And in the end, to serve the whole as Divine Being is our only function, the only function worth having. In order to serve the whole and celebrate who we are we must let go of old relationships and ideas that no longer serve us in the recognition of Divine Being, and trust that the Holy Spirit is in full support of every being. We celebrate the time we have together, and this mighty companionship of Hiccup and Toothless has served them both in the recognition of Love without limitation. Love does not need proximity to prove it exists. Love is who we are, and thus is everywhere. Hiccup never compromises on Love, and neither should we.
