Project Description

Abide as Awareness

Rupert Spira encourages us to notice awareness, the truth of who we are. Note to ACIM students, mind = ego = belief in separation.  He points directly at DIRECT experience- the looking at what is present always- awareness.

“What you are looking for is an event in a movie, and as long as you are looking for it in the movie you’re going to be focusing on objects”

“It was overlooked, due to our fascination with the movie”  “You are looking for a special experience.”  Enlightenment is the moment you recognize the screen in the movie”.    “You have never ceased to be the unlimited awareness”

“Are you aware?”

In ACIM, Jesus tells us we are fascinated with the drama in the movie. Stillness allows something else to be recognized- our true nature.

Awareness is noticing what is already here.  That which arises before thought.  The Holy Instant is a subtle shift in focus to that which arises before thought, that which notices thought itself.   It can be experienced that which notices thought is still, timeless, and formless. No separation can be found within it. Within this direct experience grace arises.
